History

Jim began his career at age 18 as a framer, learning the fundamentals of construction first-hand. After graduating from college, he went on to open a remodeling company in the mid-80’s. In the 90’s, Jim’s commitment to Austin’s community led him to work as a trainer in the award-winning Casa Verde Program, helping at-risk youth find their way in life through building sustainable, affordable homes in East Austin.

Since launching his own company in 2000, Jim’s mission has been to provide top-quality, environmentally aware building services at down-to-earth prices. Jim knows how to work within your budget. And, as an active member of the Home Builders’ Association, the CB-USA builders’ purchasing cooperative and the Austin Energy Green Building Program, Jim lives his life-long commitment to professional excellence. Having built three 5-star homes and twice been selected to showcase his work on the prestigious Cool House Tour of Homes, Jim knows how to build beautiful homes that perform very well indeed.
